This was a short side project centred around metalwork skill development. It involved repeatedly annealing, quenching, and hammering copper into a rose. This process increases ductility, allowing the rose to be worked into shape using a sand bag and metal vice before filing for a smooth edge. Benefits of this project included an extended understanding of metal workability and forming processes.
